So 5-years ago, I flew SQ11 to Tokyo for work...

I had a chatty taxi driver to the airport, and I got through the check-in process with plenty of time to spare...

At work, I switched groups earlier in the summer...

The next morning, we woke up, waited for a bakery to open, got food, and got to the airport...

So this year’s climbing trip called for a week in Zermatt, and then the Haute Route, via the glacier route...

This is a long post… In between some of the ACC outings, I went to Smith Rock for the first time, to climb with some friends!..

We took the usual evening flight across the north pole...

WAIT. STOP. WHAT IS THAT THING BEHIND ME?!..

For my flights to Tokyo, I was routed through YVR and flew JL17 to NRT...

So a few days before the trip, I noticed that my return flight had open seats in First Class...
