Haneda has what is supposed to be the better JAL lounge, and the hallway to the First lounge was looking good!

A game room??? Also, check out the cool maps on the wall!

They had the Boeing SST sales model from the 70’s.

They had a chef who would make you a hamburg steak, a weird staple of Japanese cuisine…

So I’ve heard good things about JAL’s F product and service.

The seat was huge! and much more comfortable than Singapore’s 777-300ER product.

Dinner service started after take-off. There was plenty of Cristal, and I chose the Western set. The meal involved small fancy portions and pipettes!? It was a flashback to high school chemistry lab!
Piquillo Pepper stuffed with Cod Brandade

Caviar! with egg yolk cream and rice wafers

Grilled rosy seabass with radish velouté

The dessert also had a dropper, and gold flake? They called this a Macedonia of citrus fruits from the Shikoku region. It had almond tofu. I was a happy passenger.

The approach to SFO was kinda neat

Another shot of the smart galley!

My layover at SFO was supposed to be eight hours, but I asked if I could be re-booked on an earlier flight, and they did! My layover became a 1.5h layover, and I got to Seattle just in time for sunset!
