I had a chatty taxi driver to the airport, and I got through the check-in process with plenty of time to spare. I went to the CX lounge and got a plate of Hainanese chicken rice
Then I got restless and walked around BKK. I’m always amazed by airport architecture these days…
I’ll admit, those A350 winglets *are* pretty neat
They had a Suntory Yamazaki whisky onboard!
Another meal! Fish and rice this time.
So the plane landed on-time and I had a couple hours before the redeye to Seattle. I went to The Wing on the way here, so I checked out The Pier on the way out. First up, was another quick meal in the dining area!
I got the burger, but looking back, I should’ve gotten the fish or steak…
I was really craving that burger though! and another mango juice.
The other side of the lounge had the bar, which is pretty swanky…!
Another bathroom selfie. The Pier is definitely the opposite of The Wing!
I liked the mixed media… and the mountain.
The flight boarded slightly late, but the flight went smoothly. I had some time to check out their Door 2 galley area. Interesting how Airbus and Collins sets theirs up, as the M2 galley is mostly used for stowage and not for galley inserts.
The tiny Door 1 galley with a built in VCC. They have another centerline galley at the F5 position, where the majority of things are kept. I like that the middle cart compartment is dedicated to ice cream.
I had deferred my dinner to lunch. I woke up to some wonderful duck confit!
This was a really satisfying meal before landing. Looking back on the photos I took, it’s pretty clear… I take a lot of food photos on these business trips…
