LH491 // LH1216

So this year’s climbing trip called for a week in Zermatt, and then the Haute Route, via the glacier route.

Airfare came courtesy of UA miles on the flight out. I booked a Lufthansa routing out of Seattle to Frankfurt, and then a hop to Geneva.

LH operates a B744 on this route, and the upper deck was pretty empty 😀

No legs to hop over 🙂

The departure took us over Ballard. My condo building was still in one piece

Next, we flew over the North Cascades, and eventually into some clouds

Check out the old school UD galleys!

The lunch dish

QUAD JET!

The door 2 galley

A fabulous sunset

one more shot…

I watched Extreme Job, which I recommend to anybody wanting a good Friday night movie, and then went to sleep. The flight crew woke us up for breakfast, which was pretty dang good

Getting to and from the terminal took us by some more jumbos

After a few hours at the Senator Lounge, they took us to our next flight. Look @ DAT WING! AND THOSE ENGINES!

New paint

Next thing I knew, we were passing Mont Blanc and descending to GVA

I gotta say, LH’s service is consistently amazing. I really look forward to flying on their 777-9!
