Tokyo

On my previous trip, I tried going to Nakano Broadway the day I was to fly out, only to find that the shops didn’t open until 12pm. On this trip, I had tried to visit in the evening, after work, only to find out all the shops close early at 8pm. Thus, I was determined to check it out on my day off.

I was successful, however, I didn’t spend much time there. Actually, I did buy one sweet cat bag, so I’ll call it a success. Also, I realllllly liked this hat shop’s logo.

That evening, I met up with Aaron in Shibuya with plans to watch Mad Max. When we got to the theater, we found that the movie hadn’t been released in Japan yet… and the posters were just promotional. Soooo, we went to grab some pizza.

After pizza, we were craving taco rice, but our go-to bar wasn’t open yet, so we went to Taco Bell for some epic fails…

^Fact: they use different taco seasoning in Tokyo. Also a fact: It’s kinda meh.

We ate our Tacos outside of a Family Mart, and then then we found an arcade with the goal of winning the easiest UFO Game…

^and we succeeded! it only cost us 1100 yen…

Afterwards, we went to get our taco rice fix at Hadaka, learned about Hokkaido, learned some Japanese, taught some English, watched parts of Kiki’s Delivery Service, learned that “Joshi / 女子” means “woman/girl” in Japanese, and eventually wound up at another great bar  in Shimokitazawa

The day I was supposed to fly out was spent packing, resting, and exploring the one-block radius around the hotel, where I found the cutest penguin graffiti.

Then it was off to Shinjuku Station to catch the N’EX.

Until next time!!!
