teamlab Borderless

During the week, I bought a ticket to the teamLab Borderless show at the Mori Digital Art Museum. It was recommended by a few co-workers, so I went to see what it was all about.

It was pretty amazing, and I can understand the hype. The first room you walked into was a big room of projected art

Mirrors made everything fun

I’m pretty impressed with how all the projectors were perfectly aligned and sync’d

There were random rooms for re-education…

The next big room I wandered into was called, “The Infinite Crystal Universe,” which strung a bunch of LED rope lights from the ceiling. Visitors could set the colors in the room, via phone apps, if I remember correctly…

It got pretty funky

A room with the video, Black Waves. It was pretty relaxing, despite the fact that the waves represented the “great wave” artwork, which was a painting about a tsunami

Aurora Lights II was pretty much concert lighting on steroids. Still cool tho.

99 Green Balloons? or something? I didn’t stay here long.

The Forest of Lamps reminded me of Kusama… and was probably the spot to wait in line for

The lamps would changes colors, and it was pretty trippy

The new lens was pretty fun to play with at the exhibit. Overall, I’d recommend it! I think it’s a permanent thing in Tokyo now 🙂
