Zürich

Another month, another trip… This time, to Zurich!

As usual, we flew BA over the Atlantic

BA49 was back to a 747-400, which meant upper deck seating! Also, check out those retrofit LCD monitors!

We stayed in Old Town, and the building across the street was what I expected 👌

The meetings went well, we pushed the limits of our meal allowances and ate really well each night. We had a lovely pasta dinner the first night by the river, then we came across a French-ish restaurant that had courses that consisted of foam. Fancy shit, yeah? It was delish. The supplier took us out another night for some incredible fondue, and on the last work night, we ate at Clouds in the Prime Tower, which was so-so. After the meetings, I had an evening to explore in the city for once!

I walked up towards the university

Where they had some neat old buildings.

Those names!

A neat square for students to hang out at. I wish RIT had these types of spaces.

More exploring

A neat bike shop with some custom frames and paintwork… drool.

On Saturday, I had a day to myself, so I got some chocolates at Laderach, and found the BEST gear shop ever. This shop had it all, ant farms, travel agencies, books galore, all the packs and clothing… and the entire line of La Sportiva climbing shoes, organized by size. I sat there for about an hour demo-ing all the shoes and recording my sizes… All climbing shops should have this.

Workin!

GEAR! GEAR! GEAR!

Old Town views

On Sunday, I caught a train to the airport

…to catch my flight to Barcelona!
