The last outing we had was a mix of the annual BoeAlps camp out in Leavenworth, and one of our ropes outing where we taught students how to escape the belay to check on a fallen climber, ascend a rope, and to rappel past a knot. Since our outing was on Sundays, we drove up early on Saturday to climb, and to enjoy the camp out!
We met up with folks at Domestic DomeĀ
There were tons of pets… this puppy spent too much time running up and down the crag, and past the eff out
Grohl was the grumpiest old fart, and would growl at every dog… he’s pretty photogenic though!
Luke and Ian set up four top ropes for the rest of us!
The next day, we were up bright and early at the Mountaineers Dome to go over the previously mentioned skills. Here’s Arthur on his first attempt to rappel past a knot
Pae helpin’ out on the rappel station
Did I mention it was hot? cuz it was… Shade was in demand…
After we finished the skills, we had some free time to climb. Devin brought us up to the 5.9 Roof to do a quick demo on climbing crack. This was quite the problem!
