Around the World!!!

So I’m sitting on UA468 to SFO, to begin my RTW trip! This is gonna be a 2.5 week vacation, and the itinerary is SUUUUPER heavy on flights, which is SUUUUPER exciting!!! I’ll probably end up organizing posts by flights…

Itinerary:
SEA-SFO
SFO-ICN
GMP-HND
HND-CTS
CTS-HND
NRT-IST
IST-ADB
ADB-IST
IST-ASR
ASR-SAW
IST-LHR
LHR-SEA

Anywho, the flight out of Seattle provided great views as usual!

Somewhere over Washington? or Oregon?

I had a five hour layover at SFO, so most of my time was spent in the AMEX Centurion Lounge. When it got close to the departure time, I moved to the SQ lounge, and was lucky to catch the plane arriving from ICN!

I’m a fan of UA’s international terminal…

For this trip, I splurged on the international legs and booked either F or J award tickets… for this leg, I was treated to the older (but still stellar) SQ F product. Just like their business class, the seat was huge, and thus, the bed was huge. Dom or Krug
were the options for champagne. Not bad…
^I had no idea what the difference was, so I chose Krug!

The first class cabin lacked stowage bins… but as seen in the photo above, all of your carry-ons will fit under the ottoman!

What other excesses are there? Hmm, ah yes, the entire seat is covered in leather, you got Bose headsets, Ferragamo Salvatore amenity kits, a bottle of cologne (or perfume for the ladies), and Givenchy pajamas.

^Not gonna lie… I’m enjoying every moment of this.

Oh, and the chicken dinner came with the entire chicken (which was a first). Also, Love Forecast was the Korean rom-com of choice…

^I couldn’t finish it. The flight attendant was also surprised that there was a whole chicken in the oven…

The flight was amazing (as expected), and we landed on time. If you have the points, I highly recommend this redemption (you can transfer AMEX Membership Rewards or Chase Ultimate Rewards). Next time, I’ll look for their A380 suites or their new 777-300ER first class seats!

  1. Jeez — that is a seriously impressive itinerary. When did you find time to plan every single one? Did you book one at a time or all of them at once?

Looking forward to reading about these as they come 🙂
