The second day was SUPER rainy, so I went to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. All galleries featured Korean artists for the “Korea Artist Prize.” It was definitely interesting.
Getting to the museum was a bit annoying. The metro stop put you about a 15-minutes walk away, and once I got to the museum grounds, the entrance was a bit weird to find. Apparently, I was on the wrong side of the museum, so I was just running around in the rain a lot.
Does this lead to the entrance? No…
Choi Jeong-hwa’s, Dandelioin, was sitting outside.
Finally made it inside. It looked like a fancy hotel.
I wanted to go inside. The docent said, “no.”
Imagine trying to scratch an itch in an EVA suit. I don’t think I could ever be an astronaut for that reason alone…
A study in black and beige lines. Moving stuff.
I wish the Floats of Robert Breer had arms, legs, and laser eyes in real life…
Setting up the next exhibit, and documenting the pieces. It was kind of neat to watch the process.
So this basically summed up Korea. I ate a bunch of food. I shopped for housewares and some new clothes. I visited one museum, and I read a lot in my hotel room. After 2-weeks on the road, I was honestly ready to go home!
