Tokyo Geek Fest!!!

This time in Tokyo, we reserved some tickets for the Studio Ghibli Museum!

Grade: B-

Here’s why:
1. You have to buy a ticket for predetermined time slots
2. The museum is extremely crowded
3. No photography is allowed
4. There were only 2 exhibitions and one short film (without subtitles)
5. The museum is difficult to navigate

Now, the exhibitions were extremely neat. One area recreated Miyazaki’s studio; which provided a glimpse of his process of turning a concept to production. The walls were plastered in his sketches, art, and tools. The other area was interactive. Viewers could spin film reels to recreate scenes and look at models from various movies.

Oh, there was a life size Nekobasu for the kids area!!!
but no photography was allowed!

At least they had beer:

The Tokyo Motor Show was also open!!!

Grade: A-

Here’s why:
1. It was SUPER PACKED! 🙁
2. It was hot inside 🙁
3. They did not say anything about us bringing drinks in 🙂
4. The selection of cars was incredible 😀
5. The halls were well laid out 🙂

The crowd… late in the afternoon.

Just a few things that I admire…

I like the nose of theXKR-S.

The only supercar I’d buy (if I had the $/¥/€).

and my next car:

^I wanted a photo of the Toyota GT-86, but didn’t want to navigate the crowds for it…

BIG ENGINE!!!
