The hotel was conveniently located one-block away from the East Side Galley. Here were a few of my favorites:
Props to the maritime graffiti artist.
Next was the Jewish Museum. I found Libeskind’s design to be extremely disorienting when inside and I did not spend much time there.
Looking up the long flight of stairs to get to the first exhibit.
Next on the list was Museumsinsel. Another site where German schoolchildren will stare/wave at you if you’re Asian. Either that, or they thought they knew me.

So I only had time for one museum here, and I chose Pikachu the Pergamon Museum.
The last museum on the agenda was the Hamburger Bahnhof.
The last night was spent at the Philharmonie, where I caught the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra’s show. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside, so here’s a view from the mind of Martin Liebscher. As for the wonderful performance, the night included:
Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K.219
Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op.73
