While walking over, I was craving Asian food, so I had a bowl of tonkatsu ramen at FAN -Shoronpo Japonés Ramen. It was so-so, but good enough for Europe?
I eventually made it to Sagrada Família. I wasn’t sure what I was gonna think about it, cuz to be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of Gaudí… However, once I got there it was pretty impressive. The sunset lighting that came later helped too.
Now this part is kind of neat. Below is the Passion Façade, and it was designed to resemble the bones of a skeleton. Per the name, the façade represents the suffering of Jesus during his crucifixion, and was intended to portray the sins of man. Also, it looks pretty damn metal.
Eventually my time slot arrived, and I went inside. Gaudí was a madman.
I was super impressed. I don’t even know how someone thinks of this stuff.
The sunset lighting eventually hit the stained glass…
and everything had a nice glow.
My neck was getting sore from not being able to look away.

When I left, it was pretty dark, and I was hungry. I found an amazing tapas spot, la pepita, along the way. There was a huge line, but being a solo traveller, I got seated immediately :-). Copious plates were consumed. I had dessert there, and when I left, I saw that there was a churro shop next door, so I got two to go!
I remember the feeling of a sore neck at Sagrada Familia also!
